I am a 32 year old, happily married, vegetarian. I’ve worked in the pharmaceutical research industry for the past five years. I graduated from the University of Texas in 2001 with a BA in Italian and a BS in Geology. I became interested in triathlons and running races in 2004 after one of my friends convinced me to participate in the Danskin Triathlon. My biggest passion is running, but I love the variety that triathlon provides. I enjoy racing in and around Austin, but I also like to choose races that are in places I can travel to and make it a vacation. My racing weakness is my speed (or lack of it), but my strength is that I can endure. My best race is probably the half marathon, but I think my favorite race is the full marathon. I love long distance running, tattoos, and eating. I hate housecleaning, snakes, and ketchup. My goals are to qualify for the Boston Marathon, to participate in a Half Ironman distance triathlon, and to become more involved with the Austin racing community.
